Dear NAIR Members,

By now, you should have received this year’s invitation to our 35th NAIR convention. Notice anything different?  There have been a few changes that I would like to bring to your attention.  Please take a moment to read this update.

At our Board of Directors meeting earlier this year, we discussed and resolved many issues relating to Association name changes, membership issues and benefits and marketing opportunities.  We are all aware of the changing needs of our customers in the bowling industry. Because of their changing needs, so do ours as Bowling Equipment Specialists.  The BPAA has clearly indicated that our specialized services are welcome and needed to “help ensure the growth and vitality of thousands of bowling centers around the country-in fact, the world.”  The members of our Board of Directors has recognized that our association of specialists, needs to expand it’s focus of service. 

Our first concern was whether to change the name of our association.  35 years in the bowling industry carries a lot of momentum.  Instead, our board approved a logo modification, which illustrates the diversity of specialized services and products NAIR supports. NAIR is clearly more than an association of resurfacers. 

Our association as Bowling Equipment Specialists shall prove to be beneficial by  continued business opportunities through networking and maintaining a superior level of expertise via education and training. By default, this benefits our customers by providing a comprehensive understanding that members of NAIR are the best in the industry.

The second biggest change is the convention itself.  We will be holding our convention in conjunction with  BPAA’s Bowling Summit Conference. What a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to network with customers and manufacturers simultaneously. I believe this will be a win,win,win for all.  We were able to dovetail featured speakers and manufacturer’s presentations with BPAA making it possible to reduce the cost to attend.  Please, make this a priority for your business to attend this year.

As the bowling industry continues to change, so must the services and products we provide.  Our Board of Directors has recognized these issues and changes have been made.  NAIR needs your support to make our association beneficial for all.  The groundwork has been set before you to gain increased recognition for the specialized products and services you represent. Please take advantage of this opportunity to grow and prosper. I hope to see all of our membership present for our 35th Annual Convention.
